The Graylingwell Heritage Showcase Events start TOMORROW!

We've got FOUR great events happening in Chichester over Thursday 16th April and Friday 17th April - it's not too late to be added to the guest list!

On Thursday 16th April, there will be a Pre-Launch Drinks Reception held at Chichester's Pallant House Gallery. Between 6pm and 7pm, there will be the chance to meet the Project's Creative Team and to see their artwork, which was made in response to the social and cultural history of the Graylingwell Hospital. Between 7pm and 8pm, animation films made by service users in collaboration with artist Tony Gammidge will be shown. The films tell extraordinary and moving stories about people's lives and sometime difficult experiences, all told with humour, ingenuity and the kind of creativity that comes from a spirit of survival. SPACES STILL AVAILABLE FOR THIS EVENT!

We also have THREE fantastic events on Friday 17th April!

Between 9:30am and 2:30pm, there will be a Showcase and Celebration held at the Graylingwell Chapel in Chichester. You will be able to see examples of the newly digitised patient casebooks, see a series of presentations from the project team and volunteers, and meet the many people who participated in the Project throughout 2014. All attendees will be given a FREE copy of our exciting new publication BENEATH THE WATER TOWER, as well as provided with lunch and refreshments throughout the event. SPACES STILL AVAILABLE FOR THIS EVENT!

Between 3pm and 5pm on Friday, The Otter Gallery at the University of Chichester will be showcasing the dynamic contemporary artwork which brings together a mass of imagery made with patients on the existing NHS Graylingwell wards, staff and community members alongside the Project's Creative Team. Tea, coffee and warm drinks will be served! SPACES STILL AVAILABLE FOR THIS EVENT!

Finally, the West Sussex Record Office in Chichester will be hosting the Showcase Finale: Talks and Turrets event with a wine and cakes reception to launch the Oral History exhibition and listening turret. Held between 5pm and 8pm, the event will inclue two short talks, as well as the opportunity to view some original Graylingwell documents. WE ARE NOW FULLY BOOKED FOR THIS EVENT!
